“I am amazed by so many negative reviews. I’ve been using the app for years now and it is just perfect… if you know how it works. Many customers are having trouble receiving codes while transferring money or doing other operations because caixa’s security system is very strong and can’t accept unsecured lines. I had an international phone number which wasn’t considered safe by the Spanish banking system therefore it was very hard to receive codes or calls. As soon as I switched to a Spanish number everything worked just fine. Also, I never had a problem communicating with the customer service over the phone. People jump to conclusions way too fast. It’s a shame how a perfectly good app and banking service receives so many bad reviews because people don’t understand, nor are willing to learn how to use and appreciate technology.”

“I am a customer since 2017. The bank never failed me personally. The app is good, fast, available in English and is function wise in the same ballpark as other apps from competitors. I am a metal customer and even though I never really needed it - but the travel insurance is really good (as described). The investment features are also good enough for me as a “just buy monthly ETF shares.”What may help to further get more market shares would be the offering of a real credit card. Because of that I am “forced” to posses multiple cards from different banks. I never needed the service. But my wife as a foreigner in Germany did need. There was a glitch in the KYC process that would only accept RFID based residence cards and she only possessed a paper based in her passport (problems at the Bundesdruckerei at the time). We had to wait over a month to get a solution. We persuaded them eventually to give us the possibility to use PostIdent - then it worked.”
